Catalina Mendoza - Arrival at Pasota Hills

So yes, here she is: Catalina Mendoza in front of her new home. It all looked a bit lonely and, well, boring, but Catalina had the will to change this. With her fortune aspiration she knew that one day, with all her wishes and wants, she would make this lonely place of land turn into a great giant villa. One day. But first, with her little money left, she needed to buy all that she needed to start off a new life. The lot her house was built on is a 4x4 lot (not 5x5, because I experienced extreme bugging and slow-mode-gameplay with the Morrigans since fourth generation). An here, a look from the top:

So you see, everything that is necessary to start a modest life. Catalina liked light colors and furniture, so she kept en eye on making her little cottage look white and bright. Only light wood! She found that it turned out nicely and began doing whatever her mood suggested, so she started painting a little - with much enthusiasm!

After doing whatever was pleasing to her she figured that it was time to find herself a job… because if she wanted to make big steps, she needed some money rolling in. She looked outside her house to see whether the paperboy had already brought the newspaper to her new address, and she was lucky! She got the paper and sat on her sofa to see through the ads.

She was not really searching for a specific job - the only thing that she was looking for was the notice with the salary. And so she took the job that would offer the most: a jump into the criminal career. "Well", she thought, "not exactly what I was dreaming of, but with my charisma and my notion of people the ideal thing for me to get them bucks". So she had a job, and she wouldn’t mind whether it would demand her to work at the borders of legality. But she had not much time thinking it through… the doorbell was ringin, so she looked who could visit her already, without her even knowing anyone here in Pasota Hills.

There was a woman in a jogging suit introducing herself as Christy Stratton. ‘Not exactly the type of people I like to hang around with’, Catalina thought.

And there was another woman, introducing herself as Sandy Bruty. ‘Except for the flaming pants, she seems to be a nice neighbor’, Catalina supposed.

And there was a very good-looking guy too, whose name was Joe Carr. Catalina instantly started to talk and joke around with him, and they seemed to get along well. But after a few minutes Catalina decided to bid him goodbye, because "my house does not look much like inviting people in - give me a few days and you’ll be my guest. I’ll call you". With these words she left her visitors and decided to give her little newly obtained money-tree some water. Of course she needed every little simoleon to make her house visitor-suitable!

Then she felt her stomach growling. "Ok, time for dinner", she decided, and went to the fridge to see what it had in store for her. She took the ingredients she could prepare the easiest meal with… spaghetti with meat balls. After a little bit of growning and moaning she finally managed to cook herself quite a good meal!

She felt happy and relieved that her first day at Pasota Hills had passed so easily and flung herself into bed to sleep a long night through. The next morning, she could barely make it to work on time because she was only woken up by the sound of the horn of her carpool. She made it though, and hoped that she would soon be promoted to ride in a better car in the future *eeeww*.

Her first day of work passed and turned out well, she brought back some money and even a promotion! So she spent the rest of the day building skills (body skills, charisma etc) to get to the top in no time. The next day, when the carpool, arrived it looked somewhat better!

When she returned from work, she was promoted again. "This is just the right job for me, being a pick-pcket and all, and now having made it to bookie already…", and she continued on building skills, earning money, calling neighbors that would become her friends and so on. She even tried out her job-reward-object, a lie detector. But she was not too fond of it…

"erm, you know, I never thought about becoming a criminal just to get some money"

"honestly, I never did! Money… tss, what do you need money for anyway!"

"yiiiiiiiiiiiiikes"

"oouch… well, ok, some pocket money can be useful, I admit…"
With all that skill building and going to work while climbing up her career-ladder, she was actually able to afford herself a maid… not that she did not know how to clean the bathroom or make the bed… she was just not in the right mood to do that, neither did she find time because she was so concentrated on working - for work. So when the maid turned up on his first day, she was surprised to find him being a man. His name was Remington, and she had to admit that she liked the way he looked in his shirt and with those gloves on. He had something of Joe Carr, but she liked Remington’s ‘clean’ attitude so much better… she gave him a big tip, anyhow.

"thanks for taking extra-care. I mean it, you know how to clean up that mess (and swing your butt *smile*)!"
Remington felt attracted to Catalina in an istant, the way she smiled at him and stood in front of him with nothing but her nightgown on. Yes, he though that Catalina was a hot chica - but he wouldn’t show it, he had work to do. And as he was given some extra-money anyway, he knew that he was on the right track. Everyday when he came over he and Catalina chatted a little and talked about their jobs - how it was to clean after other people’s messes, or how it was to "help other people get to the money that was entitled to them". They got along well.
So well, in fact, that one evening on a Saturday, when Catalina needn’t go to work the next day, she decided to call Remington for ‘personal affairs’ and asked him whether he would like to come over…

Remington thought a little and then forced himself to an answer…..
(more next time *g*)
